Applications for Housing Choice Voucher Program Project Based Waiting List
The Housing Authority of Baltimore City (“HABC”) is accepting applications from persons who are interested in leasing the following size units:
• One-bedroom (seniors only) • Two-bedroom • Three-bedroom
Listed below are the requirements for each bedroom size:
• One (1)-bedroom - must be SIXTY-TWO (62) years of age or older and qualify for a one bedroom unit. • Two (2) and three (3)-bedroom – accepting families who are eligible for the appropriate size unit. See chart below for additional information.
After HABC receives your completed application, HABC will put your name on the waiting list for the Project Based Program (unless the application is incomplete or does not meet the age and bedroom size requirements).
When your application reaches the top of the Project Based waiting list, the Site and the HCVP office will contact you for eligibility determination.
Please make sure you keep your name and address current at all times.
HABC will accept applications for these units until June 30, 2017. If you are interested you must obtain, complete, and return an application to the address below no later than close of business Friday, June 30, 2017.

You may visit the office Monday thru Friday between 8:30am and 4:00pm to request an application for the HCVP Project-Based Waiting List.
If you are unable to come to this office, please write to the address above, or call: (443) 984-2222 to request an application to be mailed to you. Applications returned by mail must be postmarked with a date no later than Friday, June 30, 2017.
What is Project Based Program?The Project Based Program, a part of the Housing Choice Voucher Program, provides rental housing assistance that is attached to specific rental units. In this Program, HABC has contracts with specific landlords to offer units to applicants from the HABC waiting list. The participating landlord selects an applicant from the waiting list, and requests that HABC begin the applicant eligibility process, which is conducted by the HABC. If the applicant is found eligible by HABC and the landlord, the applicant can then be housed in the landlord’s Project Based unit. The eligible applicant pays a percentage of his or her income to rent the unit as long as he or she remains eligible for the program. or visit:
